The Social Surf Club

The Social Surf Club e.V. provides surf therapy for children and teenagers in difficult life circumstances by offering self-organized, donation-funded surf camps. The purpose of these camps is to empower self-love as a base for creating deep, valuable interpersonal relationships in their lives. Surfing as a therapy approach teaches you a lot about yourself, your individual limits, strengths, and weaknesses, the power of nature, and the relief of negative emotions. The place of action is the beach, and the ocean is your unbiased teacher.

Living Gaia

The Berlin-based non-profit organization Living Gaia e.V. works with the indigenous Huni Kuin of Acre State, located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. Living Gaia’s holistic approach focuses on all life areas of the Huni Kuin, supporting the protection of their land, female empowerment, health, and education. In collaboration with the Huni Kuin and Brazilian partner organizations, Living Gaia has realized various projects, such as purchasing a piece of forest land as a protected area and founding a women’s association. Additionally, solar systems have been implemented to reinforce independence.
